National Gay Blood Drive at Mandi


On Friday, July 11, the second annual nationwide National Gay Blood Drive (NGBD) will take place to raise public awareness at Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

In US, there is ban to blood donation by the Gay people since 1983, So the gay started last year, National Gay Blood Drive to pressurize the US Govt. to change the policies.

This year in Mandi city of Himachal Pradesh also the National Gay Blood Drive (NGBD) will take place to raise public awareness regarding the blood donation campaign.

Cement Rates hike in Himachal


Himachal Pradesh Government raised the cement transportation rates. The prices raised after the huge pressure from truck transport union which was on strike from last Saturday and ceased the govt. supply of cement to govt. departments.

Govt. notified new transportation rates on Monday, after that the strike call back and supply has been restored.

They were demanded the Freight Rs 8.35 per kilometer (per ton) as against the govt freight Rs 7.75 per km/per ton. Now there demand for raised freight accepted and new rates for freight applied.


Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha has become first ever digital assembly in the whole Country to go high-tech and set up e-Vidhan system.
The coming monsoon session of the year, assembly would be operate fully digital and it’ll also providing a great help to save paper. so, it may be a good news for Environmentalist who are putting great efforts to save environment.

A training room and e-facilitation center for providing various services to the house members has been set. Now the communication between secretaries and Ministers would also be online besides video conferencing, digital video recording and web streaming.

HP Govt simplifying rules for non himachali to buy land in Himachal


HP Govt. being simplifies the process of buying land for non-Himachalis. The Govt has been issued the draft of notification to modify the rules of the Department of Revenue Land Reforms Act of 1972 on Wednesday.
There are four major changes, The process of allocating land for industry has completely changed. After single window clearance of industrial proposal, it will send to the director of industrial office for approval of Section 118.
For industrial plots remain the same procedure. The state government will decide it in 15 days. If approved, then the case will be forwarded to the DC of that district. DC will send the information of his decision within 7 Days to the Government.
To get Essentiality Certificate (EC) now 07 documents required instead of 11.Ground rules of law reform process has been simplified through these amendments.

Ta-yul Monastery- One of the oldest Monastery


Tayul Gompa is a Buddhist monastery in the Bhaga Valley of Lahul and Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, India. The Tayul monastery is settled at a distance of 6 kms from Keylong above the village of Satingri. It located at the altitude of 3,900 meters (12,796 feets) from the sea level. It is one of the oldest monastery.

Tayul Monastery was constructed in the starting of the 17th century by a Drugpa (Dogpa) lama, Serzang Rinchen of the Khan region of Tibet.  An interesting anecdote associates itself with the construction and naming of the monastery. It is said that in the 17th century, Lama Serzang Rinchen of Khan region of Tibet, while performing his circumambulation of the sacred peak Drilburi, noticed a small glade in the juniper forest above Kyor and Tashikyang villages on the opposite side of the valley. He pointed this out to his fellow pilgrims and concluded that the site was blessed for the construction of a monastery. Thus came up the monastery and its name, Tayul.
Tayul gonpa written in Tibetan as Ta – Yul means “chosen place”.

APEDA sanctioned Rs 18 million for HPMC projects


hpmcAPEDA sanctioned Rs 18 million to HPMC, in which 10 million is sanctioned to upgrade the Parwanoo unit and install most modern fruit processing plant.

8 million sanctioned for the Kingal HPMC plant in Shimla district. CA store and Packing store will be installed there with the amount 8 million.
APEDA member and Congress leader Kuldeep Singh Rathoretold reporters during a press meet in Shimla that, this assistance has been conditional. HPMC needs to increase the exports each year and the production of the HPMC will be also monitor by APEDA.

HPMC first was sanctioned Rs eight million , but the gardeners met him and requested him to raise the amount as well HPMC also request the same in the board meeting. So the amount Now has raised to 10 million.


24 Engineering Students From Hyderabad Washed Away in Himachal Pradesh

Around 24 Engineering students from Hyderabad were washed away in Byas river yesterday near 7:00 pm in evening. They were the students of the VNR Engineering College, Hyderabad and were on a study tour to Himachal Pradesh.

A massive rescue mission was launched with professional rafters and divers to look for survivors. Police and people from nearby villages also joined in the search for students but it was hard task to find them in the dark. According to source 05 bodies has been found but still 19 students were missing.
